Canada-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Negotiation

British Columbia believes that a CEPA with India is a positive first step in reorienting Canada's trade priorities toward the high-growth markets of the Asia-Pacific and hopes a comprehensive agreement will be negotiated covering substantially all trade in goods and services, investment, trade facilitation, and other areas of economic cooperation.

In 2010, British Columbia exported $11.8 billion of goods to the Asia-Pacific region.
